London Family + Maternity Photographer
This is your family, your life and I want you to remember it forever.
It’s so heart-warming for me to work with people who, more often than not, don’t like having their photos taken, but who still get up at the crack of dawn, get dressed and meet me at a park or a beach and let me take their photos anyway.
Taking photos can be intimidating. Even THINKING about everything involved might be enough to stress you out. I totally get it! Getting photos of kids can be tricky, but my goal is to make the experience easy, stress free and (dare I say it?) even a little fun for everybody involved.
Over time, I’ve had the chance to develop a process that takes the focus off of the traditional ‘sit still and smile’ approach to family photos, and instead gets you and your young ones moving and interacting. Instead of a tedious and painful studio session, your kids are able to be the beautiful little characters they are, and you get to walk away with photos that are 100% real and genuine.
Beautiful family photos, without all the stress.
Sound good?
Here’s how we can work together…
-
It starts small
Have a look through the photos above and if you like what you see, get in touch to see a full gallery of all the fun we have in family photo sessions so we can book you in!
-
And then it grows
Once you’re all in, let’s book a date, pick a location, and start planning our session. On the day of your session, we’ll wander around (or chill at your place) and I’ll take some rad photos of all of you being your adorable, silly selves.
-
And blink, all grown up!
Woohoo! A few weeks after your session, you’ll get an email from me with a link to your online gallery, which means it’s time to check out your photos. Here you’ll be able to view & download your photos to keep forever, as well as order any prints.
Your Investment
Packages start at £200 and include a one-hour session + all edited digital images.
-
That’s okay! Many children are shy or have a hard time with posing for photos, which is why we forget the posing and just get you all hanging out and loving on each other! You just enjoy the moment and I’ll worry about the photos.
-
Yes absolutely, though I do approach them differently to other photographers as I take these photos at your house. This allows me to capture genuine moments in the newborn haze!
-
Absolutely. My typical shoots last for about 2+ hours, so I recommend we do photos at home and then go for a walk as a group to have fun!
-
Post-processing is the most time intensive part of your shoot, and so typically my session turnaround is about 3-5 weeks. Photos are delivered via digital download for instant access and easy sharing. I will provide a preview of the session shortly after, via an online gallery.
-
I really love capturing maternity photos as you are on the cusp of a new chapter in your life. It’s a chance to get photos before your life changes so I recommend you embrace the moment. Location-wise, your local park is a perfect spot!
-
Most definitely! I am based in London but happy to travel to you, so as to make you feel comfortable and at home in front of the lens.
-
We can absolutely take photos with your furry family member! If you want to bring along a pet, I always suggest you have a friend come along to hold them during the shoot so that we can take some distraction free photos as well.
-
Absolutely. While your session fee includes the session and digital files only, I also offer custom designed albums, keepsakes and professional prints after your session. Although digital images are great, I like to remind everyone that it is important to come away with something tangible from our time together.
Custom photography is an investment for both of us, and I would be heartbroken for your images to collect virtual dust on your iPhone or hard drive! Your images are designed to stand alone and be joyfully displayed on your walls for many years, as well as tell your story when strung together in a fine art storybook album – so I’d gladly discuss options for prints or albums with you if you are interested.
-
All session locations are chosen in collaboration with you, to bring your unique vision to life. Indoors or outdoors – we’ll make it happen!
-
If your shoot date gets rained out, we can either select an alternate location or reschedule on a date that fits you. Or we always can splash around in the rain!
I’ll always consult the weather the day before our session as this is when the forecast is the most reliable, and call you to discuss our options. All I ask is that keep your day open and flexible, so we can adjust our start time if we need to.
-
If we are shooting outdoors, the time of day we hold your session is super important. If at all possible, it is best that outdoor sessions are held during the golden hour (either sunrise or sunset), depending on the best light at the location. But if that doesn’t work for you, I am flexible. If we are holding your session indoors, then I will be guided by you as to when your home/locations gets the best light.
