London Landmarks

Let’s go on an adventure!

One of the questions I get asked the most is - where do we meet?

My answer? London! I love to call my sessions around the city the β€˜London Landmark’ shoots – basically, it’s a fun few hours having an adventure around London with a photographer in tow.

These sessions can be for couples, you, your dog, families - my London Landmark shoots are tailored to you! Once we lock in a date, we have a chat to discuss your favourite places and I build a custom itinerary.

I love planning adventures around London and think it is simply the best backdrop for photos. My personal favourite landmark in London is Tower Bridge, while my secret hidden spot is Pergola Gardens near Hampstead Heath.

I always have the best fun on these photoshoots!

And as an added bonus - I throw in fun facts for free 🀣

FUN FACT

In the 1960's, London Bridge (*not* Tower Bridge) really was falling down and was offered for sale to fund a new one. An American chainsaw tycoon bought London Bridge in 1967 and had it shipped brick by brick to be reconstructed in the Arizonan desert! It still stands today and is the second most popular tourist attraction after the Grand Canyon in Arizona 🀯

MY TOP FIVE LONDON LANDMARKS

1 / Tower Bridge

This is my personal favourite landmark in London because look at how beautiful this bridge is! If you haven't done the tour inside, I highly recommend it because there is a glass panel in one of the top parts and it is so cool to see the cars pass underneath.

I love photographing at this bridge because it has the best golden hour (the best light before sunset) vista. I like to have a lot of fun getting photos of you with London buses passing underneath but this bridge looks good from every angle and it's a lot of fun to visit.

2 / Notting Hill

I mean, can you get any more storybook London pretty than Notting Hill? The area is pretty in any season but it's a particular favourite of mine in spring with all the flowers. I love going for a wander down Portobello Road as well as side streets to find hidden corners to take photos away from all the onlookers.

3 / Millennium Bridge

This one is a hidden treat, well as hidden as you can be when you are a big bridge over the Thames! What I mean is that there are so many unexpected angles you can get on this bridge and my favourite is using the reflective glass on the Tate Modern side looking towards St Paul's. Stunning.

4 / Your Local Area

This is my personal favourite because this is the best way to personalise the session to you. Want a photograph outside your favourite local cafe? Going for a walk in your park? Hanging out in front of your favourite local places?

This is the way to do it! Plus as a bonus, you get to show off your local area to me and teach me a few fun facts in exchange.

5 / London Eye

This is easily one of the most iconic sights in London and yes it might be cheesy and touristy but trust me that we will get some beautiful photos that you will be proud to have on your walls and no one will doubt where that photo was taken!

As a bonus, you do have Big Ben right next door - fun fact, the tower is actually called the Elizabeth Tower, renamed from Clock Tower in 2012 in honour of Queen Elizabeth II's Diamond Jubilee (60th anniversary of her coronation), and Big Ben refers to the bell inside the tower.

Regents Park

HONOURABLE MENTION

I couldn't finish this list without a shout out to all of London's EXCELLENT parks and my favourite has to be the Regent's Park, especially the rose garden. It is just the best to wander through and take lovely pictures in.

Give me a park photoshoot any day of the year and they will turn out brilliantly - I'm even planning on getting married in a rose garden, that's how much I love them!
